"We ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will, with all the wisdom and understanding that His Spirit gives…" Colossians 1:9b (TEV)

Salvation

What is Salvation?
In its most basic sense, salvation is the saving of a life from death or harm. Scripture, particularly the New Testament, extends salvation to include deliverance from the penalty and power of sin. What is sin? In short, it is willful disobedience to God. Salvation then, is the work of God whereby He delivers from the bondage to all evil powers and the penalty of sin.

Why Do I Need Salvation?
In the Bible, Romans chapter 3 and verse 23 (Romans 3:23) states that “everyone has sinned, and have fallen short of the glory of God.” Roman’s 6:23 says, “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

How Do I Receive Salvation?
This is, perhaps, the most important question. In the book of Acts chapter 16 and verse 30, Paul and Silas was asked the same question by the Philippian jailer, “What must I do to be saved?” Their answer was “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved—you and your family.”First know that salvation is a gift from God given freely to all who asks. (Romans 6:23). The Bible says, "For God loved the world so much that He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not die but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (TEV)Romans 10:9-13 states: “If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved.” The scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” “This includes everyone, because there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles; God is the same Lord of all and richly blesses all who call to Him.” As the scripture states, “Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help, will be saved.” (TEV)

You can accept Jesus here and now.

Pray this prayer:
Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner and have displeased you in many ways. Lord I believe that Jesus is the son of God and that he died on the cross for my sins. Right now, Lord, I am placing my total trust in you. Come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, and save me. From this day forward, by your strength, I will live for you. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name. Amen.
