Ministries
There are a lot of exciting things going on at Mt. Sinai Temple. Here is a list of the
ministries of the church. As the church grows (and as these ministries grow), additional
information will be added.
Christian Education
The ministry of Christian education is responsible for all educational / spiritual formation
aspects of the church.

Deacons Ministry
The Deacons are one of two Biblical officers of the Church. As servants after the order of
Jesus Christ, they assist the Pastor in meeting the whole range of human needs, physical,
emotional and spiritual. They assist at Baptism and Communion, visit the sick and shut-in,
and provide other duties as directed by the Pastor.
Deaconess Ministry
The Deaconess of the Baptist Church are female servants assisting the Pastor and Deacons in
carrying out spiritual and programmatic ministries of the church. Their objective is to
promote growth and fellowship in the church and community. The position is generally
followed after the scripture found in Romans 16:1 where Phoebe is referred to as a servant
of the church. Their responsibilities usually are, prepare communion elements; prepare
female candidates for baptism; counsel young women of the church; comfort those in mourning
or distress; visit the sick, deprived, destitute, and administer services as needed.
“Burning Bush” Multimedia Ministry
The Audio/ Visual is responsible for operating “The Temple’s” sound. This Ministry is also
responsible for reproducing cassette, CD’s, and soon to come DVD’s and video tapes of all
services, in addition to handling reproduction requests in order that the word of God may
be heard.

C.A.R.S. Ministry
The C.A.R.S. (Collected Automobiles for Riding the Saints) ministry is committed to meeting
the transportation needs of the people who are unable to meet those needs themselves.
C.A.R.S. receives donated cars and provides them for people who cannot afford to purchase
their own vehicle.
